Agreement signed for the production of Sputnik V in Italy

According to the news of the Italian Adnkronos agency based on the Italian-Russian Chamber of Commerce, the Swiss-based Adienne Pharma & Biotech company, which also has a branch in Italy with the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), has reached an agreement on vaccine production in Italy.

It was noted that the agreement aims to start production in Italy in July and to provide 10 million doses of Sputnik V vaccine by the end of 2021.

Under the agreement, Italy’s relevant authorities will also be allowed to control the entire preparation process.

It was stated that the agreement in question was “the first agreement for the production of the Russian vaccine in Europe”.

The EU’s drug regulator, EMA, announced on March 4 that Russia had pre-evaluated the “Sputnik V” Kovid-19 vaccine. It takes 3 months for EMA to approve if there is an official application through the pre-evaluation process.
