Denmark made a statement regarding the AstraZeneca – Oxford vaccine, whose use was suspended by many countries due to blood clot problems recently.
Health institution director Soren Brostrom announced that Denmark has completely stopped using the AstraZeneca – Oxford Covid-19 vaccine.
The UK Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Authority (MHRA) confirmed that 7 people in England died from a blood clot after receiving the corona virus vaccine developed by Oxford University and AstraZeneca. In total, 30 of the 18 million people vaccinated by 21 March had a blood clot side effect.
MHRA’s written statement to the British press confirmed that in the light of the latest data, 7 people in England died due to a blood clot after being vaccinated with AstraZeneca. In the report covering the period between 9 December 2020 and 21 March 2021, the institution stated that 30 of the 18 million people vaccinated had blood clot side effects and 7 of them died.

France, Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Iceland, Luxembourg, Portugal, Slovenia, Ireland, Norway, Italy, Austria, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Bulgaria, Romania, Thailand, Indonesia, Luxembourg, Spain, Greek Cypriot Administration (GCASC) and More than 20 countries, including Sweden, suspended the use of the corona virus vaccine produced by AstraZeneca on suspicion of causing blood clotting.
EMA AND WHO SAY “SAFE”
The European Drug Administration (EMA) has encouraged countries to continue their vaccination programs, in a statement that it reaffirmed the vaccine is safe and effective. The World Health Organization (WHO) stated that the benefits of AstraZeneca vaccine outweigh the risk of side effects.
