It is aimed to prevent different practices of states

At the meeting held by German Chancellor Angela Merkel and state prime ministers on March 22, the duration of the measures, which were valid until March 28, was extended until April 18, especially on the grounds that the mutated species of Kovid-19 caused an increase in the number of new cases in the country.

The meeting planned to be held between Prime Minister Merkel and state prime ministers on April 12 to address the situation in the epidemic was canceled.

Instead, it is planned to amend the Infection Protection Law to apply common rules across the country and to increase the government’s powers.

Thus, it is aimed to prevent the states from making different practices in combating the epidemic.

Until now, although various measures were decided at the meetings held by Merkel and state prime ministers, the states in Germany, which has a federal structure, could apply different practices.
