US advice to stop Johnson Johnson vaccine – health news

The two most authoritative health-related institutions in the USA announced that they recommended “stopping” the administration of a single-dose Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 vaccine to investigate reports of potentially dangerous blood clots.

‘FDA AND CDC APPROVED STOP PLAN’

It was reported that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the two most important health institutions in the USA, confirmed the plan to stop the vaccine in their statements.

It was announced that the reason for stopping the vaccine was the formation of blood clots with the decrease in the platelet count in six women who were vaccinated.

APPEARED ONLY IN WOMEN

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, authorities have decided to investigate six cases of rare and severe blood clots reported in the country, with cases reported to occur in women between the ages of 18 and 48, with symptoms occurring 6 to 13 days after vaccination.

In the USA, more than 6.8 million people have been administered a single dose of Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 vaccine to date.

It was reported that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the two most important health institutions in the USA, confirmed the plan to stop the vaccine in their statements.

It was stated that the CDC will hold a Vaccination Practices Advisory Committee (ACIP) meeting on Wednesday to examine the existing cases in more detail and evaluate their potential importance, while the FDA will review the analysis while investigating these cases.

‘WE RECOMMEND STOPING THE VACCINE’

In addition, it was stated that the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) used the expressions “We recommend that the use of this vaccine be stopped very carefully until this process is completed”.

In the 62-page review of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), published in late February, Johnson & Johnson’s single-dose Covid-19 vaccine was effective and safe.

INVESTIGATION IN EUROPE

Recently, the European Medicines Agency (EMA) launched an investigation after the corona virus (Covid-19) vaccine developed by the US-based Johnson & Johnson pharmaceutical company was observed in 4 people who had blood clotting side effects.
